I started writing in a journal when I was young, this helped me find peace in my day to day life while dealing with the aftermath of sexual assault and domestic violence. I struggled with the emotions of my assault and had a difficult time expressing myself verbally. Journaling allowed me to open myself up to the healing process, even though it was only to myself written in the pages of my journal.
I want to help as many people as possible affected by sexual and domestic violence, I have donated many journals to different crisis centers and I have come to realize so many don't seek help in this method. This realization open my eyes to where I needed to expand my foundation not only to crisis centers and police domestic violence units but to anyone who needed a place to express themselves and heal. These journals are for survivors, family members, friends, and anyone in emergency services-police, fire, ems, hospital, and crisis center staff.
